FAQ

How long will it take to complete the repairs?

We try to complete most repairs the same day. If this is not possible, we will let you know our projected time frame when you drop off your vehicle.

How much will it cost?

Basic service costs are communicated to you when you come in.  Please call us if you dropped off and need clarification.  Estimates are provided for repairs that are beyond the basic service, before we do the work!

My car is running rough. Do I need a tune-up?

Tune ups are very important, but with today's cars rough running could be a result of many possible systems....emissions, fuel delivery, electronic ignition and others.  We will diagnose and provide you a full estimate for your approval before we begin the work.  *Labor rates apply for diagnosis work.

Is there a charge to check out my car?

We will run your trouble codes on your vehicle for free while you wait.  Any further diagnostic work that may be required will be charged our normal labor rate, pro-rated to the time it took

Do I need an appointment for a repair?

Calling us or stopping by and setting up an appointment day and time is the best way to ensure we will fix your car in the timeliest manner.

What credit cards do you take?

We accept ALL major credit cards!

Why does my car need maintenance if it's running fine?
Regular maintenance of your vehicle protects your investment, helps to prevent breakdowns, and will save you on the cost of repairs in the future.
What will happen if I don't have the repairs done right now?

This will of course depend on the type of repair your vehicle requires.  Some can wait, some can't.  You can count on us to tell you HONESTLY which is which!

What Should I Do When My Check Engine Lights Come On?

In most cases, the vehicle will still run properly, or at least well enough to get our shop.  Bring it to us as soon as possible so we can do our free diagnostic code reading service...and we'll be able to tell you the probable cause for the CEL condition.

How Often Should I Have My Brakes Checked?

At least every oil change and/or tire rotation.  If you don't remember the last time we did it, call us to schedule a low cost inspection!

What Type of Oil Filter Do I Need?

We will install our premium quality filter, matched directly to what your car's manufacturer requires, every time we do an oil change.  It's included in the price!

Do I Really Need Winter Tires?

There is no doubt that winter tires help you when it's snowy out.  With today's "All Season" tires on many cars, this can be enough in our area of the country where the winters are relatively mild.  We'll be happy to look at your tires and tell you if you have them, and also quote you price for winter tires if you'd still like to look into using them in the cold months.
